Thank you for participating in
AOE’s 3rd Annual Science Fair!

Congratulations on entering the Science Fair.  You should be proud of your initiative and effort to develop an entry for our school’s Science Fair.  We know that participating in this academic endeavor took a lot of extra time, and the PTA applauds you.

The PTA wants to make sure that all aspects of the Science Fair are a positive learning experience for all of the participants.  To achieve this goal, it is extremely important that you follow the rules outlined below, listen to the parent volunteers who will be helping on the day of the event, and do your best when you discuss your project with the judges and the students who will tour the Fair on Friday.   Most of all, know that you have taken an important step toward distinguishing yourself as one of the student scientists at AOE!

Please read below to orient yourself on how this event will be coordinated.

The event is competitive for grades 3-5, and the Science Fair packet contains an example of the judging criteria form the judges will use. Top-achieving projects in the competition will receive an Award of Excellence. Projects in grades K-2 will receive recognition for the special characteristics of their projects.
