AOE Registration and Education Event
Welcome back parents and students of Aviara Oaks Elementary.  The AOE PTA looks forward to seeing all of you on Tuesday Aug. 26th between 4:00-6:30 pm at our Registration & Education event. Bring your children to say hello to Principal Huesing, drop off your forms and checks, buy an AOE t-shirt and most important - find out your child's teacher and classroom number.    

Support Our Schools (S.O.S.)
Our annual fall giving campaign  has officially kicked off!  Our children's education is our top priority, and now, more than ever, we need your financial commitment to safeguard and support our children's educational experience at AOE.  Parents determine our spending priorities and parents fund those priorities. For the 2008-2009 school year, your contributions will fund the following programs:
  * Science Teacher grades 1-5:  $29,000
  * PE Teacher Gr. 1-5/Kinder Karate:  $29,000
  * Music Program K-5:  $20,000
  * Teacher Grants/Classroom Expense K-5: $5,000

PTA sponsored events like gift wrap sales, restaurant nights, carnivals and dances cover only a portion of these expenses.  Our SOS Campaign Goal is to raise $50,000 by November 15th to cover the remainder of the costs.

AOE Cookbook
Be a part of the first ever AOE Cookbook! Submit your favorite family recipe to be included in our professionally bound cookbook.   We need 400 recipes by Sept. 15 2008.  It's easy to submit a recipe by going to the www/aviaraoakselementary.com.   Click on the SUBMIT A RECIPE button and follow the prompts to log in.

AOE Family Restaurant Nights at Baskin Robbins!
Join us at Baskin Robbins (by Vons) on Aug. 27, 28 or 29th (Wed., Thurs. or Fri.) for ice cream at Baskin Robbins between 4:00- 9:00pm.  Bring the flyer and Baskin Robbins will donate 15% of all AOE transactions to our PTA.  Supporting our school tastes so sweet!

Recycle Thursdays are Coming!
Our first recycling Thursday will be September 4th at 7:45 to 8:20 AM.  Please save your aluminum cans, plastic bottles and printer cartridges.  We have raised more than $7,000 a year with this effort alone.  Support our school and save the Earth while you're at it.
