Dads Club Update
The Dads Club, which is part of the PTA, was formed about 5
years ago to assist with school campus projects that the school district or
maintenance staff don't have the time or resources to complete.
Some of our completed projects include bulding backpack racks, painting
doors and railings on portable buildings and other classrooms, painting the
playground, computer setup, Artwalk setup, helping the librarian with
textbook delivery to the classrooms and more.
We met with Mrs. Huesing to plan for this year's
projects and will be starting soon. Work parties are usually
held monthly on Saturday mornings. Any and all help is greatly
appreciated. I often hear that some Dads are hesitant to help out
because they're not a good painter or carpenter. No problem, neither am
I! We simply need Dads (and Moms can help too!) willing to volunteer
some time and effort for the school! Please watch the e-mail blast
for upcoming projects. Questions? Contact Mike Barnes at mbarnes4@roadrunner.com. Thank
you!
